Aiya Co., Ltd. is a leading matcha manufacturer founded in 1888. It entered the food industry early on, establishing a quality control and analysis system and developing a system for immediate mass delivery.
In order to meet the diverse needs of our customers both in Japan and overseas, we are working on various certifications, including food safety, environmental certification, human rights certification, and religious certification.
We have overseas subsidiaries in Los Angeles (USA), Hamburg (Germany), Shanghai (China), Bangkok (Thailand), and are actively selling matcha and green tea not only in Japan but also around the world.
It is a written statement of Aiya's mission and the meaning to exist, and is the basis for everything from management policies, daily operations, and human relationships.
It refers to the ancient Japanese spirit of hospitality and the unique Japanese culture of “wa” and the “nagomi” of employees, which Aiya cherishes. The word “nagomi” includes a sense of unity, a circle of employees, caring for each other, and feeling at home.
A company that has a history and track record as a pioneer and is responsible for the development of an industry or region.
This term refers to everyone involved with Aiya, including Aiya's employees and their families, customers, consumers, tea farmers, and related companies.
Our mission is to contribute to “development and growth as a company”, “growth and happiness as a person, stability in life, and a healthy life both physically and mentally”.

Since 1983, AIYA Co., Ltd. has been working to spread matcha culture overseas. Food safety standards in overseas markets are stricter than those in Japan. However, by establishing a quality control department and manufacturing matcha with safety and hygiene as its top priority, AIYA Co., Ltd. was able to clear those standards and enter overseas markets. Obtaining numerous certifications was also key to entering overseas markets.
In recent years, matcha has become sought after from all over the world, not only for its health benefits, but also for its taste and Japanese cultural background. Global recognition has increased, and matcha has become so established that it is not just a type of green tea, but also known as MATCHA overseas.
